Let’s hear her experience at The Footwear Academy.
Hi Chioma, please introduce yourself.
Hello, my name is Chioma Gift Edoziem.
How did you hear about The Aba Mastering Footwear Program?
I got to know about the training through the social media, Facebook precisely.
What motivated you to sign up for the Program?
I saw the program as a means of acquiring a skill and keeping busy, because I had nothing doing as at then due to the Pandemic lockdown.
Tell us your experience during the training?
The experience was top-notch. I saw myself doing things that I never thought I could do. I made my own shoes for the very first time in my life.
In addition to that, I met young people with a whole new energy and vibe. I also learnt business management and other soft skills.
In all, I’m glad I crossed path with The Footwear Academy and all thanks to Mr Bentley, Mrs Chidinma, Mr Benjamin and Pind Foundation for creating this opportunity.
What’s next for you?
I intend going into footwear business and I have my brand already “Omzy Designs”.
Here are some of the footwear I made myself.
I am currently working with The Footwear Academy. I intend improving my skills and adding value to the Academy in my little way.
That’s Awesome, Drop your contact information too.
Alright, My phone number is 08107587227.
My business social media handle is Omzy Designs on Facebook and Instagram.
So, what advice do you have for young People?
Independency and Hard-work should be among the core values you should have as a young person.
Strive to do what you love most, make the most out of it and don’t be a lazy Nigerian youth as we are been tagged.
Thank you Chioma. We are glad to have you on our team. Let’s grow together. We wish you all the best.
