Guess who we have today, our very own media lady, Hope Ogunka, one of our batch A student of the Aba Mastering Footwear Program.

Hope is a television/radio presenter, She has a vision of starting her own television show someday.

She saw an opportunity in the Aba Mastering Footwear Program and decided to maximize it.

Let’s welcome the media lady, please introduce yourself.

My name is Hope Ndidiamaka Ogunka. I feel really honoured to be here.

How did you hear about the Aba Mastering Footwear Program?

I heard about the Aba Mastering Footwear Program through the social media, on Facebook to be precise.

What really motivated you to sign up for the Aba Mastering Footwear Program even though you’re a media personnel?

Around March 2020, I attended a program, “Women will Aba”, where Mrs Chidinma was among the speakers. I loved how she spoke, it was soul lifting.

After the event, I connected with her on Facebook. When I saw the post she made about learning footwear making, my heart was filled with joy, not just because I was going to learn footwear making but I was also going to drink wisdom from Mrs Chidinma’s river of knowledge and I must say that my life was truly transformed.

And how will you sum up your experience during the training?

My experience at The Footwear Academy was a beautiful one. It’s an experience that I am grateful for.

At least you can see my wonderful decollete shoe and slippers.

Interesting, what’s next for you?

For now, I would work on harnessing the art of shoemaking and improving the existing knowledge that I have on footwear making.

So what advice do you have for young people?

Dear young ones, maximize any opportunity of learning. It’s in the learning process that you discover purpose and passion.

Don’t take any experience for granted. Anything you do today, will count tomorrow. Keep pressing on, you can make it and you will make it.

Could you drop your contact information

Sure. My phone number is 08034810508.

Also my Facebook/Linkedin/Instagram accounts bears the name Hope Ogunka.

So guys we draw the curtain here, I guess today’s quote summarizes this session. When a window of opportunity opens, always do well to maximize it.
