Sounds interesting right?
Let’s dive in and hear his story.
Hello Max, Please introduce yourself.
Hello, my name is Maximilliano Sopuru Ezeorachi.
How did you hear about The Aba Mastering Footwear Program?
I heard about the program from a footwear Facebook page.
What motivated you to sign up for the Program?
I literally didn’t need much motivation to sign up, as I have always been passionate and also wanting to learn footwear production from a very reliable organization.
From my online investigation and follow up, I felt tangibly that The Aba Mastering Footwear program and The Footwear Academy was it for me.
Tell us your experience during the training.
I would encapsulate my experience during the training in 3 words – Enlightening, motivating and amazing.
I not only learnt how to make shoes, I also got some life skills training which is very pertinent in our daily living and growth.
My stay at The Academy was fun all the way.
What’s next for you?
To keep learning and trying out new opportunities, getting better and advancing.
Although, I already started out and so far, I have produced and sold close to 50 pairs of footwear.
Below are some of the footwear I made.
Nice, Could you tell us a little about your recent win?
Well, I signed up for the NDYEP Business Plan Challenge organised by Pind Foundation in collaboration with the Ford Foundation.

To the glory of God, I was among the 5 alumni selected from The Footwear Academy under the Finished leather sector to receive a grant range of #500,000 to #2,000,000.
Amazing, What advice do you have for young people?
I’ll say for every passion in your heart, there is a stream of income.
So learn to harness every bit of passion in you and pay Keen attention to every bit of your conceivable idea.
