Alumni of the Week – Turaki Hassan Muhammad

We have here with us, Mr Turaki Hassan, one of our student from the Batch A session of The Aba Mastering Footwear Program.

Hassan was a serving corps member in Aba, when he heard about The Aba Mastering Footwear Program.

He left the shores of Aba, Abia State, with not just his NYSC certificate, but also a certificate of competence in Shoe Making.

Lets hear his story.

Hello Hassan, please introduce yourself.

Hi, my name is Turaki Hassan Muhammad. Thanks for having me here.

You’re welcome. 

How did you hear about The Aba Mastering Footwear Program?

I heard about the program through a friend.

And what motivated you to sign up for The Aba Mastering Footwear Program?

I have so much interest in the field of shoemaking, when I heard about the program, it was like a golden opportunity for me.

Wow, Tell us your experience during the training.

I had so much experiences. I learnt how to make Oxford shoes, Loafers, Decollete and even got some enterpreneurship and leadership trainings.

I’m just grateful to The Footwear Academy and Pind Foundation for this wonderful opportunity.

So, what’s next for you?

Putting my skills to work ofcourse. I plan on establishing my own brand “Hasfamt Series Wears”.

So far, I have been able to produce some of my designs to help boost my brand.

What advice do you have for young ones?

I would advice them to gain a skill, you never can tell where you will need it tomorrow.
